Se encuentra a tan sólo 11 kilómetros de Lleida, en el paraje de la Finca Vallfonda, en el municipio de Raimat, tierra conocida en todo el mundo por sus excelentes vinos y cavas, y cerca de la franja divisoria entre Cataluña y Aragón, envuelto por un inmejorable entorno natural. Equilibrado entre bosques de encinas y pinos, viñedos y árboles frutales, con suaves colinas y arboledas, con embalses que proporcionan recursos hídricos asegurados e ilimitados, y rodeado de la mejor zona residencial de la ciudad de Lleida, tenemos unas excelentes vistas, no solamente de Lleida ciudad y la huerta que la rodea, sino también de las impresionantes llanuras aragonesas y del pre pirineo-catalán y aragonés.

The origins of the lands

At the beginning of the 20th century, Manuel Raventós Doménech acquired a farm of 3,000 hectares of arid, desert and saline land. The estate was characterized by having a tree and an Arab castle with a stone shield dated 1627, with a bunch of grapes and a hand. The arrival of water with the Aragon and Catalonia canal in 1910 and human effort made what is now Raimat possible, turning that desert land into a fertile land, known throughout the world for its wines and cavas.

The history of the Entity

In 1992, the Raventós Espona family decided to promote Raimat Golf Club as the beginning of a sports and residential complex. This was a decisive event that marked a before and after in the history of this sport in Lleida, since until that moment there was no other golf course within a radius of 100 kilometers, Lleida being a city with an important group of golfers who practiced in cultivated fields and played nomadically on other fields.
The field was designed by the Pepín Rivero architecture studio, which created a flexible field, with very wide fairways where all the clubs in the bag can be used, and always with the utmost respect for the natural environment, even marking “hazard” zones inside as protected natural areas.
In April 1994 the first 9 holes were inaugurated.
The second phase of the course, that is , the culmination of the current 18 holes, was developed by a team from the Higher Technical School of Agrarian Engineering of Lleida in 2000, and was officially inaugurated by the Most Illustrious Mayor of Lleida, Antoni Siurana y Zaragoza, on June 15, 2002. .

The course

El Raimat Golf Club tiene una longitud de 6.187 metros desde sus barras blancas con un S.S.S. de 72. El campo está distribuido en dos niveles. En la llanura junto a la Casa Club encontramos los hoyos del 1 al 5, y el resto, del 6 al 18, transcurre en el mismo valle. Es especialmente espectacular el hoyo nº 6, par 3 de 160 metros, con un desnivel de tee a green de 50 metros.
Es un campo muy interesante para hándicaps medios, adaptado mediante zonas de dropaje para principiantes y que requiere máxima concentración en algunos hoyos, ya que sin ser difícil hay algunos obstáculos de agua que castigan los golpes poco precisos. Ofrece además al Capitán del Campo la posibilidad de, según las necesidades y mediante la colocación de las banderas, tees y sega del ancho de las calles, convertirlo en un campo fácil o muy difícil.
Además el campo cuenta con una espectacular Casa Club, dotada de los servicios más actuales y modernos, como el bar-restaurante-terraza, unos vestuarios, un parking para buggies, una tienda de golf, una sala de trofeos, salas de reuniones, la secretaría y administración del Club, cuarto de palos y otros.
